Robert F. Whalen, Jr.

Robert F. Whalen, Jr. – Mr. Whalen graduated from the United States Naval Academy and commissioned as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer. He deployed twice to the Middle East, once to Iraq and once to Yemen and the overall Persian Gulf Region. Captain Whalen led the first security patrols around the USS Cole in Aiden, Yemen. Captain Whalen was a member of 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division and participated in the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003 (Operation Iraqi Freedom). In 2012, Mr. Whalen founded the private equity firm, RW Capital Partners Inc. Mr. Whalen currently is the general partner of over $300M of active real estate investments. Mr. Whalen is a board member of the Tun Legacy Foundation, 501(c)(3), the current vice-chairman of the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion Association 501(c)(3), a Trustee of the November 10th Association, the former Treasurer of the Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick 501(c)(3), the former Chairman of the American Expedition, 501(c)(7), the former chairman of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (Philadelphia Committee) 501(c)(3), the former chairman of the Tredyffrin Township Planning Commission and former member of the Tredyffrin Township Zoning Hearing Board (Chester County, Pennsylvania).
